Indian Authorities Successfully Completes Second Secret Evacuation Mission in Afghanistan

Amidst the Taliban takeover of Afghanistan, an Indian Air Force (IAF) transport aircraft on Saturday deported from the Kabul airport. The plane carried some of the eminent Afghanistan leaders including the public representatives from the Hindu and Sikh communities. It also included 85 Indians.

IAF Flight Plan Was Kept Secret Until The Aircraft Took Off

As per the sources, the IAF’s C-130J transport plane landed in Tajikistan for refuelling and is likely to land at the Hindon Air Force Station in Ghaziabad by Saturday evening. They added that everyone feared that if the Taliban got to know about the plan, they’d prevent the Afghan public representatives from boarding the IAF flight. Following this, the entire plan was kept secret until the aircraft took off.
The IAF aircraft was waiting for the clearance at the Kabul airport because of the huge rush. Many countries across the world have sent their military planes to evacuate their citizens. An informed official said that the US authorities have taken full control of the airport. They are said to be the managing the air operation in Afghanistan. Amidst the huge rush, they are charting out aircraft. Meanwhile, looking for a safe air route has become a major challenge for the US authorities.

India Completes Second Evacuation From Afghanistan

This is the second evacuation by the Indian authorities to bring back the stranded Indians and Afghans who want to leave the Taliban captured country after the Kabul government was toppled on August 15.
The first evacuation was made on August 17. IAF C-17 aircraft brought back 120 Indians. It included Ambassador Rudrendra Tandon, ITBP personnel, and the last batch of the Indian embassy staff.
At the same time, the government has been making efforts to bring as many Indians and leaders of the Afghani Sikh and Hindu communities as possible.
