Hyderabad: Forest Minister A Indrakaran Reddy today asked the officials to take up plantation drive in the State on February 17 to mark the birthday of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.
KCR is very serious about the greenery expansion in the State for better future and programs have to continue accordingly, he said. He held a review meeting and directed them to involve all to plant saplings in all towns and villages across the State. As per the vision of the Chief Minister, the forest wing has to work more, he said. In addition to green drive, the officials should take up the responsibility to protect the plants. Coordinated efforts will help reach the goals of green drive, he said.
The Haritha Haram program is key for turning the State into a green bed, he said.
