Jeevan Reddy Faults Govt’s GO No. 317

Veteran Congress leader and the party MLC T. Jeevan Reddy today faulted the GO No.317 issued by the state government for the transfers and division of its employees.

He asked the authorities of the state government whether a woman government employee, who lost her husband, would not be considered as a widow. He faulted the decision of the state government in the issue of the transfers of its teachers.

Speaking to media persons at Jagityala, he said that single women would face problems if they did not local status. He demanded the state government make the allocations by following article 371 (D) of the Indian constitution and added that the article would not only monitor the appointments of the employees but also ensure their continuation.

He said that it was unfortunate that the state government did not recognize the importance of the article while issuing its GO. He made it clear that the onus of preventing the second phase of agitation by the state government employees lied on the shoulders of the state government.
