Jagtiyal: Jagtiyal MLA T Jeevan Reddy has warned the TRS government that it will face extinction if it implements suppressive measures towards the people.
The police arrested Jeevan Reddy and Rythu Sangham leaders when they resorted to ‘Chalo Pochampadu’ program under the aegis of Congress party here on Friday. The police arrested Congress leaders and Rythu Sangham leaders before start of Chalo Pochampadu program. Expressing anger at the police action against farmers, Jeevan Reddy alleged that autocratic rule was going on in the state and the police were resorting to arrests of the leaders waging fight for the rights of people.
Jeevan Reddy explained that there was a possibility to use 5 TMCFT of water from SRSP and the government has the chance to release One TMCFT of water for irrigation purpose. He alleged that the government was not considering the justified demand of farmers though they were agitating for the last several days. (NSS)
