JNTU removes English-only question paper for TS EAMCET 2023

The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU) Hyderabad has chosen to remove the English-only question paper for the Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture, and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) 2023.

The exam, which will take place from May 7 to 11, will have questions in either English-Telugu or English-Urdu. Before, it was also only in English. Since the TS EAMCET is held in various sessions, question papers of varying difficulty levels are possible. The scores of the students are normalised to guarantee that no student is at a disadvantage.

While normalising the scores, candidates’ marks are checked session by session, and their marks are either slightly reduced or increased based on the difficulty level of the question paper.

In recent years, it has been observed that most urban students choose exclusive English question papers in the TS EAMCET and scoring high when compared to average marks scored by rural candidates who are either opting for English-Telugu or English-Urdu version.
