A jokey working at the Malakpet racecourse in Hyderabad has died after falling from the horse during a race on Sunday. The jokey is identified as Jitender Singh belongs to Rajasthan and has associated with the racecourse for the past few months.
According to the sources Jitender sing participated in the fourth race scheduled for the day. while taking the race for the Osman Sagar plate division-2 Jitender fell off from his horse and landed on the field.
The rescue team rushed to the Yashoda hospital to Malakpet but he has declared brought dead at the hospital. It was suspected that he was suffered from cardiac arrest during the fall from the horse and died eventually.
An official at Malakpet race course told “The jockey was shifted to Yashoda hospital after the fall, where he was declared dead. The body has been shifted to Osmania General Hospital for postmortem”.
The horse belongs to trainer Sateesh and Jeetendra sing was its jockey. Police of Chaderghat police station under whose jurisdiction falls the racecourse, shifted the body for a postmortem examination and started a probe.
