Hyderabad: Senior Congress leader and All India Kisan Congress Vice President M Kodanda Reddy on Wednesday alleged that the ruling TRS party leader Kavitha and local leaders did not meet them when they wanted to bring the problems faced by Red jowar farmers in Nizamabad. He also alleged that the State government bought red jowar for only one month.
He alleged that the State Government didn’t withdraw cases filed against Khamamm farmers. He also alleged that the State government was not giving proper compensation to the land oustees in the State. He made it clear that the farmers of Nizamabad filed nominations to show their power to the ruling party. He also alleged that the ruling party was insulting the farmers in the State. Kodanda Reddy alleged that the ruling party had given money and filed nomination papers in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s constituency Varanasi with their party workers.
Commenting on the issue of pattadar pass books, he wondered as to who asked the State government to issue pattadar passbooks. He said that a woman farmer tried to commit suicide as she didn’t get the passbook. He also alleged that 35 percent farmers of the State have not got pattadar passbook. Kodanda Reddy alleged that the Rythu Bandhu scheme was also given to those living in flats, layouts of Hyderabad. On the issue of the party president Rahul Gandhi, he said the party had lost the elections due to the failure of the party leaders in different States in the country. (NSS)
