Hyderabad: Telangana Government released Rs 2,931.18cr towards payment of pensions to all beneficiaries in the state. A total of 38,72,717 people will get pensions in Telangana with the release of the funds.
Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has issued orders to provide timely pension to all those who are drawing the pensions. He asked the officials to give pensions to the beneficiaries without delay.
Subsequently, the finance department has given administrative sanction for the release of the funds. This was informed by Panchayat Raj Minister, E Dayakar Rao.
The minister said that 38,72,717 pensioners will get benefits. He extended thanks to the Chief Minister for the funds to help them during the corona pandemic period.
Dayakar said that Telangana is giving priority to welfare and the amount will help the pensioners. The pensioners include — retired employees, old age, disabled, single woman, weavers, toddy tappers, Philaria, and HIV patients, he added.
