In an emotional message to the Muslim community, Feroz Khan, the senior Congress leader and a contested MP from Hyderabad parliamentary constituency said “CM KCR wants to make a mockery of Muslims through hosting iftar parties during Ramzan season every time while shifting all the welfare oriented schemes like Dalit Bandu to other communities in the state. He is making ‘Bhuddu’ (fool) out of Muslims during Ramzan and showering schemes like Dalit Bandhu on others.”
He was accompanied by his younger brother Rashed Khan, the TPCC Secretary.
While launching a banner demanding KCR government to announce Muslim Bandhu scheme for Muslims today in his office at Nampally, he said, “Muslims don’t need Ramzan gifts like sarees and kurta pyjamas henceforth. We don’t even need government sponsored iftar parties full of flattering dramas where one leader offers dates to another before the camera for the sake of their own selfish gains.”
“Muslims are tired-off watching these playful dramas every year during Ramzan aimed at ‘hoodwinking’ the minority community in the name of upholding traditions.”
“We were pained and disheartened watching KCR playing these dramas every time to hoodwink Muslim community,” he said, adding that “KCR must stop making fool out of Muslims and roll out measures to fulfil promises that were thrown to the dust bin during the last 9 years.”
“No one denies the fact that the BRS government failed to uphold promises like introducing skill development courses, extending loans and distribution of double bedroom houses among Muslim community,” he argued.
Claiming that the Muslims blindly believed KCR’s hollow promises all these years, Feroz Khan stated that “The time has came for BRS Chief to walk the talk and roll-out Muslim Bandhu scheme and distribute Rs.10 each to Muslim families on par with Dalit Bandhu as every survey report suggested that the Muslims are most backward community among all.”
He took a dig at the AIMIM party, the senior Congress leader said “What sort of development measures were taken during the last 50 years in Hyderabad city under the leadership of AIMIM.”
In a fervent appeal Feroz Khan urged all the Muslims not to get carried away by the hollow promises of KCR and judge him only through his deeds. “If the CM KCR is really sincere enough about the development of Muslims, he might have taken measures to uplift Muslim community economically instead of hosting frivolous iftar parties once in a year during Ramzan season,” he explained.
