K Chandrasekhar Rao, the Chief Minister of Telangana, is likely to skip the joint conference of Chief Ministers and Judges of High Courts being inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on April 30 in Delhi.
The sources reported that he will not attend the two-day conference and has assigned the law minister A. Indrakaran Reddy to attend the conference, which will be chaired by Chief Justice of India N.V. Ramana.
Following a gap of six years, the conference will be held on April 30. The previous conference took place on April 24, 2016. A major purpose of the conference is to discuss the numerous challenges facing the judiciary, such as speedy delivery of justice, reduction of litigation pending times, and rising vacancies.
TRS and BJP have been engaged in an extremely ugly battle for the last few days, and KCR has not participated in the meetings and video conferences convened by Narendra Modi in the last one year. Due to the TRS plenary, KCR did not attend PM Modi’s video conference with chief ministers on Wednesday to discuss the Covid situation.
Meanwhile, KCR also did not receive Prime Minister Narendra Modi when he arrived in Hyderabad on February 5 to launch the Statue of Equality at the Chinna Jeeyar Swamy Ashram.

Also in November last year, the chief minister was not present when Modi visited vaccine maker Bharat Biotech facilities. Talasani Srinivas Yadav was nominated by KCR to receive and see off the PM during his February visit to Hyderabad.
According to KT Rama Rao, the Prime Minister’s Office had asked the chief minister to stay away from Modi’s programs in Hyderabad.
Bandi Sanjay Kumar, the Telangana BJP president, also strongly denied the allegations made by KTR that the Prime Minister’s Office had asked KCR not to attend.
