Keep the nation united, not divided: KTR

Telangana Minister and TRS leader KT Rama Rao said on Sunday about the nation’s 76th Independence Day: “We must focus on what unites us, not what divides us.”

The divisions between us are not only religious, but also caste-based, social class-based, etc. Despite the fact there are very few things that unite us all, I believe one thing binds us together: India and Indianness. “Let us be proud of that and let us continue to focus on what unites us rather than what divides us, let us make sure this country continues to thrive and prospers and truly becomes a role model for the rest of the world, ” he said.

This statement was made at Hyderabad’s Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav parade grounds. A very happy Independence Day was wished in advance by the Telangana Minister on Sunday.

“When I travel, I meet prospective investors from all over the world as Minister of Information Technology for the Government of Telangana.

They compare China and India. It is told to me that China is a large country with 145 crore people, in comparison, we also have 140 crore people. As a result, India should function similarly to China’s system. In India as well, the same system of government should be implemented, if not in the exact same faction, then in a similar manner.”

The one thing I always tell people is that India cannot be compared to any other country. Despite our heterogeneity and diversity, we are truly unique. There are changes in everything in India – language, dialects, cultures, eating habits, and attire – every 100 km. There is no doubt that we are one of the most diverse nations in the world.

It’s in itself a testament to how well democracy can work for the rest of the world that the world’s largest democracy has survived for 75 years in spite of all our differences and despite all the things that divide us,” he said.

While we might lament from time to time that we haven’t accomplished enough in 75 years, I think staying united, staying one, and continuing to invoke and continue to take pride in a country like India, despite all the differences, is still a matter of great pride for a nation like ours, said the Telangana Minister.
