Reacting to the video, Alappuzha district collector A. Alexander said that he has ordered a probe into the incident and this should not have happened in the first place. The domiciliary centre is made for the people who tested positive for the pandemic virus and do not have proper facilities to quarantine at home.

Alappuzha district Medical Officer L. Anithakumari said that this centre is managed by a local village council. And the doctors are available only on call. The centre gets help from Covid volunteers. She said that the truth is none of the doctors were informed of the incident. And she had no idea about the incident unless she saw the video on TV Channels.
So far, the officials have been told that the covid 19 patient was taken on a two-wheeler because the ambulance driver was not available at that moment.
