Hyderabad: Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) party headed by Prof. Kodandaram on Saturday extended complete support to the Deeksha launched by Congress party condemning the acts of TRS government and Assembly Speaker to merge the CLP into the ruling party.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that such incidents would lead to the collapse of the institutions in the country. He said that anti-constitutional to defect from one political party to another and added such acts would lead to the disqualification of the members of the house. He said that the power to disqualify the members lied in the hands of the speaker of the house of the state. Kodandaram said that the MLAs could only justice to thier people if they continue in their own party instead of defecting into others. He said that the people of the constituencies of the defected MLAs were now asking them as to who would solve their problems.
He alleged that that the speaker of the house was not taking any action on the disqualification complaints made by the Congress party as there was time limit to dispose off the complaints. He wondered as to how those who defected into the ruling TRS party would urge the speaker to merge the CLP into the TRS party. He called upon the people of the state to condemn such acts. (NSS)
