KTR attends Haritha Haram

Hyderabad: Municipal Administration Minister K T Rama Rao has said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has been making persistent efforts to strengthen rural system by starting 119 Gurukul Institutions more in addition to existing 119 Gurukul Schools, while participating in Haritha Haram program at Excise Academy in Himayat Sagar here. Legislative Council Chairman Swamy Goud, Excise Minister Padma Rao, BC Welfare and Forest Minister Jogu Ramanna, Transport Minister P Mahender Reddy, attended the programme.

KTR called upon the people to involve in the program to create a pollution free atmosphere by planting saplings in their houses. The minister said that the government has launched a number of educational institutions for the benefit of the rural students as also some hospitals to provide health facilities. KTR said that professional communities are being encouraged with needed financial assistance. The Government is also making efforts for welfare of Gowda community and extend all support for their development. MLA Srinivas Goud and officials were present. (NSS)
