KTR Challenges Telangana Farmers to Choose Between Crop Focus, Electricity Supply, and Religious Agenda

K. T. Rama Rao, the working president of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), challenged Telangana’s farmers to select between the BRS’s pledge of three crops, the Congress’s three-hour electricity supply, or the BJP’s divisive religious agenda. The time has come for farmers to decide, KTR emphasised.

While criticising Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president A. Revanth Reddy for supporting a three-hour electricity supply, KTR emphasised that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s campaign slogan is “three crops.” In Telugu, he utilised rhymes to call the BJP’s policy “fire in the name of religion.”

KTR continued his criticism of the Congress by labelling Revanth Reddy “Chota Chandrababu,” a reference to the previous Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s disparaging statements about agriculture. According to KTR, saying that farmers with three-acre plots of land need only three hours of power is an insult to small and marginal farmers.

KTR emphasised that the Congress is working to stop free power because they failed to offer seven-hour power while they were in control. He encouraged farmers to make a choice between those who prioritise the welfare of farmers over the needs of other people and Chief Minister KCR.

KTR concluded by emphasising that farmers must make a crucial decision and should take into account the varied agendas and promises put forth by various political parties
