KTR criticizes Amit Shah for calling CM KCR ‘anti-farmer’

The day after Union Home Minister Amit Shah called Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao an “anti-farmer,” the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) criticized him calling it the joke of the century.

TRS working president K.T. Rama Rao took to Twitter on Monday, asking who copied KCR’s ‘Rythu Bandhu’ and rebranded it as PM-Kisan and who apologized to the nation’s farmers after facing their wrath over farm-laws; after losing 700 precious lives.

Speaking at a BJP public meeting in Munugode Assembly constituency on Sunday, Shah labeled KCR, as the Chief Minister is popularly known, as “anti-farmer.”

KTR, the state minister and KCR’s son, pointed out that Shah spoke against the Chief Minister for not participating in the Centre’s Fasal Bheema Yojana.

Previously, the Gujarat BJP government also rejected the NPA government’s scheme and opted out.  How can it be good for Telangana if it isn’t good for your home state of Gujarat? What absurd hypocrisy is this, KTR asked, referring to the ruling National Democratic Alliance (NDA) as the Non-Performing Alliance (NPA).

Jagadish Reddy, another state minister, slammed Shah for making baseless allegations at the public meeting.

According to Jagadish Reddy, Amit Shah did not respond to KCR’s questions at a public meeting in Munugode on Saturday.

The Chief Minister had asked Shah to explain why the Centre had failed to give Telangana its fair share of Krishna river waters despite the fact that the state had been in existence for eight years.

When asked about the Union Minister’s criticism of the TRS government for not lowering the price of gasoline and diesel, Jagadish Reddy compared it to the pot calling the kettle black.

He said Shah should tell the public who raised the prices of petroleum products and by how much in the last eight years.
