KTR invited to WEF’s annual meeting in China

The World Economic Forum (WEF) president, Borge Brende, invited Telangana’s IT and industries minister KT Rama Rao, to attend the 14th WEF annual meeting of the new champions.

The meeting will be held in Tianjin, China, from June 27 to 29, in collaboration with the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC).

In his invitation, Brende stated that it was KTR’s vision for Telangana to become a beacon of innovation and a pioneer in embracing emerging technologies today.

“Telangana is leading India’s start-up and innovation system through future-oriented policies and enablers such as the T-Hub. Participants will be keen to hear your insights on promoting growth in Telangana led by entrepreneurship, innovation and digital transformation,” the invitation said.

At an important point in the global economic recovery, the meeting will bring together over 1500 global leaders from business, government, civil society, international organizations, and academia.

The meeting will focus on key transformations such as accelerating the energy transition, making progress on climate and sustainability, deploying innovation across economies and industries, and post-pandemic consumer behavior.

Swedish firms invited to invest in Telangana by KTR

On Wednesday, a delegation from Sweden led by the country’s Ambassador Jan Thesleff met with Telangana’s IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao at the Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Telangana State Secretariat.

The Minister stated that Telangana is the best investment destination in India and that Swedish companies interested in investing in the state will receive full support. During the interaction, the Minister explained the Telangana government’s industrial policies as well as a variety of investment opportunities in the state, according to a press release.

The industries minister welcomed Swedish companies to Telangana and encouraged them to invest in the technology and manufacturing sectors.
