Tensions flared in the Sagar Housing Complex locality of B Y Reddy Nagar Division iin LB Nagar on Wednesday night as reports arose of a leopard supposedly spotted in the region.
According to Akhil, a complex resident, the incident happened after dinner while his son was cycling outside their house. In a condition of terror, the small child dashed indoors to inform his father. In response to his son’s request, Akhil went outside and claimed to have seen the leopard prowling on the street. He hastily rushed inside and locked his door to safeguard his safety.
Authorities were quickly summoned to the scene to assess the matter, including forest and police officials. Despite their best efforts, no tangible evidence or trace of the leopard was discovered during the night check. Residents are pushing the forest department to act quickly to capture the potentially dangerous animal.
In reaction to the event, a forest crew will return to the area on Thursday to conduct additional evaluations and determine the presence of the leopard. The sighting has alarmed the local community, prompting increased vigilance and appeals for immediate involvement to safeguard the safety of the people and the tranquility of the neighborhood.
