A man and his associates were detained in Ghatkesar, Hyderabad, for reportedly attempting to kidnap his wife’s ex-neighbor over a debt dispute. During a news conference, D. Janki, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Malkajgiri Zone, revealed details about the case. G. Chakradhar Goud, M. Gowtham Raju, A. Narsinga Rao alias Jani, and Vinod are among those detained.
According to police, the complainant, Avinash Reddy, loaned Rs 30 lakh to a woman named Arushika Reddy in 2015. When Avinash Reddy demanded repayment, Arushika vowed to marry him but later broke off her engagement and did not reimburse the money. Arushika returned Rs 9 lakh to Avinash Reddy in January 2023.
Chakradhar Goud, Arushika’s husband, recently contacted Avinash Reddy and set up a meeting at a hotel on the Warangal highway in Ghatkesar. Chakradhar stated he wanted to settle the unpaid loan. Avinash agreed to the rendezvous, but Chakradhar attempted to kidnap him during the session.
According to police investigations, Chakradhar Goud and Arushika Reddy married in 2018. Chakradhar has a criminal record with nine past instances, and Narsing Rao has a criminal history as well. The two people appeared to have met while both were jailed in Cherlapally Central Jail.
