The Rachakonda police arrested a man on Wednesday for falsely promising a woman a job in Dubai and stealing huge amounts of money from her on the pretext that he would help her with visas, processing fees, and offer letters.
An investigation by the police found the accused, Suvransu Sekhar Singh (42), from Uttar Pradesh, met the victim through an online matrimonial site. Because of certain reasons, she rejected him, but he couldn’t handle the rejection.
A few months later, he contacted her and gained her trust by pretending to help her get a job in Dubai. In order to assist her with visa, processing fees, offer letters, etc., he made her transfer huge amounts of money to him.
A complaint was filed with Rachakonda police, which identified the accused based on technical evidence. After arresting the accused in Uttar Pradesh, they brought him to Hyderabad on a transit warrant and placed him in judicial custody.
A criminal case was filed against the accused under Sections 417, 419, and 420 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Section 66 of the Information Technology Act.

IT Firm cheats 800 Employees at Madhapur
An IT company in Hyderabad’s IT hub, Innohub Technologies, cheated more than 800 employees by stealing Rs 20 crores after the company shut down, leaving more than 800 unemployed. The employees filed a cheating complaint with the Madhapur Police Station against the company’s management.
It is believed that the employers collected around Rs. two lakh from each employee for their training, offering them a monthly salary. However, these employees had no idea that their employers would flee at night. A total of Rs. 20 Crore was collected from them and two months of training and salaries were provided to them.
