In a significant development, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) is set to expand its campus and introduce new courses aimed specifically at women, as announced by Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice Chancellor of the university. The expansion will take place at the Urdu Hall in Himayat Nagar, marking a step forward in promoting education for women in the region.
The announcement was made during a seminar titled ‘Urdu University se Taleem meri Kamiyabi ka Raaz,’ organized by the Dean of Alumni Affairs and the MANUU Alumni Association on the university campus on Tuesday. Prof. Ainul Hasan shared his vision of broadening the university’s outreach and providing more opportunities for women to pursue higher education in a supportive and inclusive environment.
Additionally, Prof. Hasan highlighted the successful launch of the evening college at the MANUU Model School during the current academic session, aimed at providing flexible learning opportunities for students who may be working or unable to attend day-time classes.

During the event, Prof. Ainul Hasan also assured the alumni community of full support from the university in their efforts to contribute to the development and promotion of the university. He urged the alumni to actively engage with the Urdu-speaking community across the state, encouraging greater involvement with the institution.
The Vice Chancellor took the opportunity to distribute certificates to the seminar participants in recognition of their contributions and involvement in the university’s initiatives.
Also present at the seminar were Prof. Syed Najamul Hasan, Coordinator and Dean of Alumni Affairs, Dr. Mohd. Mustafa Ali Sarwari, Associate Professor of Mass Communication and Journalism (MCJ) and Coordinator of the seminar, Aijaz Ali Quraishi, President of the MANUU Alumni Association, and several alumni of the university.
This expansion and the introduction of new courses for women demonstrate MANUU’s commitment to improving access to quality education and fostering inclusivity, particularly for the Urdu-speaking community and women in the region. The new initiatives are expected to further enhance the university’s role as a pivotal institution in promoting education and empowerment for marginalized groups.
