Hyderabad: The Congress party contemplating to take on the MIM party in Old City with the help of Majlis Bachao Taheric (MBT). It is learnt that Congress was hatching a plan to face the MIM seriously while fielding MBT candidates in the Old City constituencies in the ensuing elections. Already, the Congress party leaders had discussions with the Congress Party Candidates’ Screening Committee chairman Bhaktha Charan Das. The Congress party had decided to field the Congress party and MBT candidates in the Old City with the understanding.
As part of alliance, the Congress was contemplating to field its candidates from the family of Mohammed Pahelwan, who attacked MIM party leader Akbaruddin Owaisi few years ago, from Chandrayangutta constituency. It is learnt that Mohammed Pahelwan’s son had met Bhaktha Charan Das Committee on Thursday itself.
On the other hand, the Congress party high command has removed Congress Party Minority Wing Chief Fakruddin and filled it with Shaik Abdullah Sohail with immediate effect. (NSS)
