Two Malaysian Navy helicopters collided mid-air on Tuesday morning in Perak state, resulting in the deaths of 10 people. The incident took place around 9:32 am local time near the Lumut Royal Malaysian Navy base during a flypast rehearsal, according to the Royal Malaysian Navy.

One helicopter carried seven personnel, while the other had three on board. All victims died at the scene and were sent to the Lumut base hospital for identification, the navy said in a statement.
The navy urged the public to share any videos or photos of the victims who died in the crash. Videos from the rehearsal show multiple helicopters flying in close formation at the Lumut naval stadium, where an open day celebration is planned in May.

During a maneuver, one helicopter collided with the rear rotor of another, causing both to lose control and crash. The footage, which has since gone viral, captured witnesses exclaiming “Allah, Allah, Allah” as they watched the collision.
