Minister’s Plea to Avoid Wastage of Water

Hyderabad: Animal Husbandry Minister T Srinivas Yadav today inaugurated a drinking water reservoir facility at Jek Colony in his Sanathnagar segment here in the city.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that the reservoir was built at Rs 7. 27 crores. He said that he received several appeals from locals when he last visited.

The state government has launched first of its kind Mission Bhagiratha to quench the thirst of rural people. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao gets credit for the water scheme for villages and it is being followed by other states in our country,  he claimed.

He asserted that the government is taking all steps to provide safe driving water to all people in the city and all districts. He appealed that people should carefully use waters and avoid wastage.

He instructed the officials to create awareness to people to avoid wastage of waters. By next year we have to reduce water wastage from 37 percent to 15 percent, he said.

This is possible only when women and people keep in mind to use waters carefully, the minister added.
