Modi should start Dalit Bandhu, KTR slams BJP

Telangana Minister for IT and Municipal Administration KT Rama Rao today demanded that the BJP Government if have guts, should start Dalit Bandhu across the country on the lines of Telangana state.

The minister inaugurated a corporate level ZPHS built by MJR Trust at Timmajipet in Nagar Kurnool district here. Ministers Niranjan Reddy, Srinivas Goud, Sabitha Indra Reddy, MLA Marri Janardhan Reddy, and others attended the program.

The Minister accused the BJP leaders of spreading false campaigns on the comments of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao for a new Constitution or for changing its content to cater to SC, ST, BC, and Minorities. What is wrong to change the constitution as the existing one is not able to address major and key issues in the country, he asked.

He said that even Ambedkar himself stated that he will burn the constitution if it failed to address the issues of the country and other sections KT Rama Rao also mentioned that then Prime Minister Atal Bihar Vajpayee set up a commission to review the Constitution to ensure that the major issues are addressed. He slammed the BJP and the congress parties for protests and comments. When Ambedkar, Vajpayee, and RSS Chief Mohan Bhagavat had sought to change the Constitution why it is wrong when KCR seeks to change it, he thundered.

KT Rama Rao stated that it is really the time for a debate, as sought by KCR, for a change in the content of the Constitution for its potential use to address the major issues in the country. The Constitution saw 105 amendments and successive Congress and the BJP Governments failed to address these issues and so the change is needed, he opined.

The Minister slammed the BJP Government of Narendra Modi for being short-sighted towards Telangana state. Modi has been denying Medical colleges, Navodya schools, and other central institutions despite repeated appeals by the chief minister, he expressed displeasure.

KTR stated that the previous Mahabub Nagar district which was noted for migration by the workers and people is now witnessing a reverse migration to get more work here. This is due to vision and programs by the KCR Government, the minister claimed. KT Rama Rao slammed the Centre for failing to give Medical Colleges, Navodaya Vidyalayas, ITIR, projects, institutions, and others.

He called upon the educated people, NRIs, to support the education sector by extending support for schools, get more facilities.

All the schools in the state will get a facelift with about Rs 7000 cr to have all facilities and English Medium next Academic year, he said.

Despite the BJP Government denying funds and support Telangana state is making rapid strides in education and others with adequate funds allocation by chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, he claimed.
