Hyderabad: Congress Party MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy today urged the Election Commission of India to send central forces to Dubbaka Assembly constituency to make adequate security arrangements and take steps for holding the by-elections in the constituency in a free and fair manner. He wrote a letter to the commission on the issue.
In his letter, he told the EC that their party rivals TRS and the BJP were trying to win in the elections in an undemocratic manner. He reminded the EC about the seizure of money in the house of the relative of the BJP candidate.
He also urged the EC to take action against those who are violating election laws under model code of conduct.
Komatireddy also urged the EC to appoint a special observer in every mandal of the Dubbaka constituency and remove all the state government officials from the constituency.
