MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy meets Sonia Gandhi

Hyderabad: Congress party MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy today called upon the party’s national president Sonia Gandhi in the National Capital New Delhi. The meeting has assumed importance ahead of the appointment of the TPCC president. The MP has already openly urged the party high command to appoint him as the next PCC president.

According to highly placed sources, he urged the Party president to appoint him as the next president by stating that he has been in the Party since the beginning of his political career. He also reportedly told the party president to not appoint those leaders who have joined the Party from the other parties. He told her that such leaders were not reliable and can dump the Party at any point in time.

He also told Sonia Gandhi that he could be appointed as the PCC president despite his status as the MP while referring to the appointment of BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar, who is also a sitting MP. He however told the media persons that he had come to attend the meeting of the Party to keep his meeting with the national president a secret.
