Multiple Arrests in Hyderabad Murder Case

Hyderabad: Bandlaguda police have made substantial progress in the murder investigation of Shaik Sayeed Bawazir, leading to the arrest of four suspects, including AIMIM leader and Jalpally municipal council chairman Abdullah Saadi. Ahmed Bin Hajeb, Ahmed Saadi, and Mohammed Ayub Khan are the other people detained. However, two other suspects, Saleh Saadi and Omer Saadi, are on the run.

The police reported that the deadly incident occurred on August 11 at around 12:17 a.m., when Bawazir was killed on the first floor of the Buftaim building near the Royal Sea Hotel on Bandlaguda X Road. Following a complaint from the victim’s father, a murder case was filed.

The investigation resulted in the identification and eventual arrest of the suspects in the murder. Confessions were recorded, and a knife was taken from them. The victim had been stabbed repeatedly with sharp-edged instruments, ending in his death.

It was revealed that the victim, a well-known rowdy sheeter, had multiple offenses lodged against him at Chandrayangutta police station, including three Pocso (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) cases. The dead allegedly used social media to defame Ahmed Saadi, Abdullah Saadi, and their family members, accusing them of failing to solve civic issues in the Jalpally neighborhood.

While both were detained in Chanchalguda jail, prime accused Ahmed Bin Hajeb, a rowdy sheeter with a criminal record, struck a friendship with the victim. During this period, Bawazir allegedly had ‘unnatural sex’ with Hajeb, which prompted Ahmed Saadi and his brothers to plot his assassination.

On August 11, the main accused lured Bawazir to the Buftaim Building in Bandlaguda, where he blinded him with chilli powder and stabbed him to death. The investigation was conducted by eight police teams, which resulted in the arrests of Ahmed Bin Hajeb, Ahmed Saadi, Abdullah Saadi, and Mohammed Ayub Khan. Efforts are being made to find the two remaining suspects who are currently escaping capture.
