Muslims should start concerted deliberations with RSS: Zafar Sareshwala

Advocating non-stop dialogue with the RSS henceforth, Zafar Sareshwala, the Former Chancellor of Maulana Azad National Urdu University said, “For a fervent relationship, the dialogues with the RSS should be made a continuous process to dislodge the misconceptions and the ambit of such parlays should be increase further.”

“More Muslim religious scholars, educationists  intellectuals, entrepreneurs, and leaders from across the country should start making dilebrations with the RSS leaders and ensure the process should be continue till the end of the misconceptions between both the communities. Then only the efficacious results will come out,” explained Sareshwala. He was expressing his views over the recent meeting of RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat with few Muslim leaders and intellectuals during an interview to a news channel.

“The deliberations should be made with who’s who in the government at the centre and even at the state level. It should be a continuous process with increased volume,” asserted Sareshwala, who is also an entrepreneur.

Explaining that there are several leaders in RSS, VHP and Bajran Dal who are much better beings than others in their respective organisations, he said, Muslims can start talking to these moderate leaders keeping the apprehensions aside. According to him there is nothing wrong in meeting such moderate leaders to dispel the misconceptions.

Claiming that he has spent his life in Tablighi campaigns and neither has leave a single namaz nor has offered a single ‘khaza’ in his life time, Zafar Sareshwala said, “I have waited a whole night to meet RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat in Nagpur and got an opportunity to talk to him one-on-one on issues.”

Referring to one of a incident from Hadees, he said “Have anyone atleast tried once to understand what is the RSS is all about? How this organisation has survived during the last 90-95 years. It has atleast something weight to survive such a long. What an administration they have at Resham Bhavan in Nagpur that spreads over an area of 300 acres. It is worth watching. It is the time when they have warmly welcomed me and I have an opportunity to talk to Mohan Bhagwat for almost 40 minutes.”

“Despite being the chief of such a vast organisation, I found him living in a room which is much smaller than any of our madrasa organisers. It is under this room I have placed an array of issues and discussed them with the RSS Chief,” recalled Sareshwala, who has a long time affinity with the RSS.

“Why the Muslims are being sidelined in this country under the BJP rule?” I asked him while placing several issues before Mohan Bhagwat. “We believe that the country will not develop until the 20 percent of Muslims left behind. It is not at all possible. We have to take the Muslims together with us forward,” pat comes the reply.

At a point of time, he said, the use of the word Kafir, glorifying and propagating Jihad also come up during the discussion to which we have assertively dispel the misconceptions and explained it to them to a level of their satisfaction with the help of references mentioned in the Quran.

Thereafter, I have made atleast 250 delegations with the RSS since the year 2005 to 2014 of which three visits are with top level Muslim Ulemas. “It is against this background, I call upon the Muslims to start deliberations with the top level RSS leaders to end the misconceptions thereby to start a journey towards development on par with other communities,” argued Zafar Sareshwala.
