Narayana condemns attack on Agnivesh, urges SC to take cognizance

Hyderabad: CPI national secretary Dr K. Narayana today hailed the verdict of Supreme Court on Tuesday with regard to recent killings of human beings on the pretext of cow protection.

In a pressnote here today, the CPI leader vehemently condemned the alleged attack on former legislator of Haryana and social activist Swami Agnivesh by the BJP Yuva Morcha, Vishwa Hindu Parishad and RSS activists while he was coming out of a tribals meeting.

Narayana said his party vehemently condemned the ghastly and barbaric attack on social activists and demanded that the culprits be given severe punishment. He also urged the Supreme Court to t take the barbaric incident into cognizance and ban the communal organizations. “Apex court has exposed the hidden agenda of the Sangh Pariwar. At last, the judiciary played its role in defending democracy and secularism, which are salient features of preamble of our Constitution”, he said, adding the Court also observed that in the name of cow slaughter, attacks and murders, should not take place in the civilized society and the communal organizations should be banned.
