In a recent update, the Nationalist Congress Party, national spokesperson, and Minister Nawab Malik on Tuesday said that at least an amount of Rs 1000 crore has been extorted in Mumbai and Maldives from Bollywood personalities.
Malik Releases 4 Pages Long Letter Received From Agency’s Whistleblower
While the needles are being pointed at thr NCB’s Zonal director Sameer Wankhede, Malik released 4 pages letter that he had received from a whistleblower within the agency.
He said that he had received the whichwas copied to theCM Uddhav Thackeray, state Home Minister Dilip Walse-Patil, Congress President Sonia Gandhi and MP Rahul Gandhi.
Malik further said that his fight is not against the NCB. They have done a good job from the past 35 years. He said that he is fighting against the people who have extorted money from people. His estimate is that the amount crosses Rs 1000 crores. He added that the NCB has already started to investigate the matter and they must look at the 4 page documents as well.
The NCB Deputy Director, South West region, Mutha Ashok Jain, responded and said he has seen the letter and necessary action will be taken.
Malik Issues Open Challenge To File Criminal Defamation
Meanwhile, Malik dismissed the charges made by Wankhede and his family after he released the birth certificate. He then issued an open challenge to file any criminal defamation case and he would face arrest which would put the matters before the Courts.
Hitting back, a Bharatiya Janata Party activist Mohit (Kamboj) Bharatiya slammed Malik and said that the 4 page letter was a fake and the affidavit submitted by a NCB Panch witness Prabhakar Sail was also bogus. He then demanded the Minister to resign from their post. He said that the minister has been lying since day one and said that Sail’s affidavit was made at Malik’s behest.
Mohit added that all of the incidents are being done to malign the NCB and BJP. He said that he is scared for his life and demands security.
