Negligent TRS sarpanches will be dealt with as per new PR Act, warns KTR

Hyderabad: IT & Municipal Administration Minister K Taraka Ramarao today claimed that the Telangana State was only the fast developing State in the country. He warned that Panchayat Raj Act will be implemented first on the TRS sarpanches and other leaders if failed to work.

Addressing a meeting at Siricilla district with Sarpanches, MPTCs,  ZPTCs, local leaders and officials, KTR said the State government has started Palle Pragati to get better results. He said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was known for working for allround and speedy development of the State.

The minister instructed them to first complete the works related to dumping yards, Vaikunthadhamams and kitchen sheds than other development programs. “Plan and coordinate with officials to complete the development works. We are completing construction of kitchen sheds in the schools. There are no polls now for another four years and Sarpanches have to take care of rapid development of villages. After recent victory in municipal elections, it is time for more commitment towards welfare,” the minister asserted.

KTR also said, “KCR was offering adequate funds for rural development and it depends on how they utilize them. The CM’s idea was to turn villages as ideal places with all facilities. As Telangana State was formed for welfare and development, now sarpanches and other leaders have to work as per requirements of the villages”, KTR said, adding that every month village meeting is to be held and send report to DPO. Tractors will be given to all the villages which have to focus on green and clean programs. Women Sarpanches and leaders should make field visits and avoid sending their husbands for works. Otherwise, they will face action”, he warned.
