New year Gift: Hyderabad’s 18th flyover bridge will open at Gachibowli

Hyderabad civic body has constructed a 3 kilometers  Kothaguda flyover at an estimated cost of Rs.263 crore to solve the traffic problem in the Gachibowli areas. GHMC officials said in a statement that Minister KTR will be Inaugurated in the first week of next month as a New Year gift.

In addition to this flyover, which is three kilometers long, the authorities have also completed an underpass with a length of 470 meters and a width of 11 meters. In this, it was explained that 65 meters long closed box and 425 meters open box underpass have been taken up. Meanwhile, the residents of Gachibowli and Kondapur will benefit from the Kothaguda flyover.

It connects the surrounding area from Gachibowli to Miyapur, from the financial district to the hi-tech city. This bridge will solve 100 percent of the traffic problem at the Botanical  Garden and Kothaguda junctions and 65 percent of the traffic problem at the Kondapur junction.

Under the Strategic Roads Development (SRDP) scheme, flyovers, underpasses, and ROBs are being constructed under the GHMC area to overcome the traffic problem and reach the destination on time.

SRDP schemes for signal-free transport systems will be made available to the people so that they can reach their destination safely and on time. So far, a total of 41 projects have been undertaken through this scheme, out of which 30 works have been completed. Out of 6 works related to other departments, 3 have been made available, and 33 have been completed.

Out of which 17 flyovers have been made available. Underpasses, RBOs, and other road works have been completed. The Kothaguda flyover constructed in the Gachibowli area is the 18th flyover in the city and this flyover will be available soon.
