BJP Corporator Akula Ramesh Goud, who was elected in the recent Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation election has died due to covid 19 on Thursday in Hyderabad. He died at a private hospital where he was undergoing treatment for the viral infection. he was 60 years of age.
Ramesh Goud was recent elected as Corporator in the recent GHMC election from Lingojiguda ward which was held on December 1. Ramesh Goud is working with BJP since 1983, he has secured 10,340 votes and defeated TRS candidate Mudraboina Srinivasa Rao by 2811 votes. He was suffering from a kidney-related problem and needed frequent dialysis.
BJP state president Bandi Sanjay Kumar has expressed his shock over the demise of Ramesh Goud and said that it was unfortunate that the elected corporator has passed away even before taking the oath. he conveyed his condolence to the family member of Ramesh Goud.
Bandi Sanjay tweeted “The demise of Akula Ramesh Goud, Lingojiguda BJP Corporator who achieved a major victory in the recent GHMC elections, is deeply saddening. It is very unfortunate that he passed away even before he could take his oath after winning the election,”
Ramesh Goud has given greater efforts towards party works and always stick to the principles of BJP. “His death is an irreparable loss to the BJP. Since 1983, he has been an active part of the BJP,” Bandi Sanjay said.
Bjp has won 48 wards out of 150 wards in the GHMC election, TRS has always stated that AIMIM was always considered as their biggest rival and not the BJP .as AIMIM has gained the second-largest vote share in 2016 election somehow this time in 2020 BJP has made a major gain from 4 seats in 2016 to 48 in 2020.
