NHRC Team Interacts With Disha Family Members, Also Talk To Injured Cops In Hospital

Hyderabad: NHRC team today interacted with family members of Disha on her alleged rape and murder by four accused. The team took their version of the gruesome incident. Earlier on health grounds and 10th day ritual of Disha, her parents opposed to talking and later cooperated.

On the NHRC team’s appeal, Disha’s family members reached the Police Academy and reportedly gave their version on the gruesome incident that took place on November 27. They reportedly complained to the NHRC of police denial to register a case citing jurisdiction limits. Had the police registered a case and swung into action and searched for the missing veterinary doctor, it would not have led to the heinous crime and  her murder, they said.

The NHRC members visited the bodies of four accused in Mahabubnagar hospital on Saturday after they were killed in an encounter by police on Friday morning hours. The High Court has asked the State government not to perform final rites of the bodies until it hears case on December 9. So, the four bodies of the accused were kept in safe custody by the officials. The NHRC also took the version of injured SI Venkateshwarlu and constable Aravind Goud, who was allegedly injured during crime reconstruction at Chatanpally during the inquiry. They resorted to encounter when the culprits tried to escape by attacking them, the police version said.

Several fascinating facts have come to light. The postmortem report of the four accused revealed that the bodies of the accused did not have any bulletin their bodies. This has led to the speculation that the bullets went out of the bodies after injuring them. According to the police, as many as 11 rounds of bullets were fired at the fleeing accused during the encounter. However, the doctors, who conducted a post-mortem on the bodies did not find even a single bullet in their bodies. However, they found bullet injuries in their bodies.

As a result, the investigating officials were now planning to visit the encounter site and look out for the bullets, which were missing from the bodies of the accused. It may be noted here that the police department has not made any statement on the missing bullets so far.
