Asaduddin Owaisi Defeat in Hyderabad If Rahul Gandhi Contests

TPCC senior vice-president G. Niranjan stated that if Rahul Gandhi were to run for the Hyderabad Lok Sabha constituency, it would almost certainly result in Asaduddin Owaisi’s defeat.

Niranjan pointed out that the voters of Hyderabad, particularly the Muslim community, have expressed dissatisfaction with the AIMIM Party and its leadership and are eager for an opportunity to send a message. Niranjan made these remarks during a media briefing at Gandhi Bhavan.

He also noted that, like a local dog barks in its own territory, Asaduddin has been making hostile comments about Rahul Gandhi in Hyderabad and has even challenged him to contest from the Hyderabad LS seat.

Niranjan reminded Asaduddin that Congress candidates had won the Hyderabad LS seat prior to 1984. Additionally, he praised Rahul Gandhi for fostering stronger bonds of affection among people during his Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir.

Earlier, Asaduddin Owaisi, the leader of the All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), delivered a bold challenge to Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Indian National Congress (INC), during a public meeting in his parliamentary district of Hyderabad.

Asaduiddin Owaisi advised Rahul Gandhi to run for Lok Sabha from Hyderabad, a direct challenge to Rahul Gandhi’s existing seat of Wayanad. Asaduddin Owaisi’s challenge came with a stinging condemnation of the INC.

Asaduddin Owaisi reminded the audience of the contentious destruction of the Babri Masjid in Ayodhya under the Congress rule. This challenge adds to the political turmoil in Telangana, where the AIMIM and the INC are both fighting for power in the next state assembly elections.
