No lockdown, Curfew, plan one lakh daily tests: Etela Rajender

Health Minister Etela Rajender said Despite the spike in Corona cases in the State, there will be no plan of a Lockdown or a Curfew in Telangana.

 

He said that the government is to increase daily Corona tests to about one lakh and above in the state. After a review with officials to check virus spread, Health Minister, Rajender today clarified there is no idea for a fresh lockdown and curfew in the State.  In spite of rising in cases, many people don’t have any symptoms he stated. We have alerted birder people in birder states on the possible spread of the virus the minister stated.

He appealed to private hospitals to avoid the business of making money as the cases if Corona rising.  When patients or people come for tests and treatment the private hospitals should not collect more money he suggested.  They must collect fees as decided by the government is Rs 250 per a jab Rajender said. The hospital staff should offer services on humanitarian grounds and stop looting people, he said. Or the government will take action against such hospitals he said.

The minister instructed the people to follow Corona protocols.  He said that the vaccine will be given to those 45 years and above as per norms and to 60 years above to check corona spread.  He stated that the state government has made all necessary arrangements to fight the virus spread and people have to cooperate.

Rajender said that vaccination is for people’s safety and eligible can take the same. The State government urged the Centre to give more vaccines. The state offers more facilities to test, trace and treat the people to prevent Corona cases. We plan to increase daily Corona tests to about one lakh and above Rajender said.

Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao directed to take more steps to ensure better facilities in the hospitals across the state for preventing the cases of coronavirus. As per KCR instructions, the officials will offer more tests and vaccination every day in all districts. The people have to be cautious while going out and take all measures.

He advised to wearing masks is a must and sanitization of the hands is to be followed besides maintaining social distance. He said that if we follow these norms coronavirus will not attack us he said. Officials give vaccines to those 45 years and above as per norms and to 60 years above he said.

Fatalities rate is less and no symptoms among people despite cases rise he added.  All measures are taken to check virus spread.
