Hyderabad: Health Minister and Exhibition Society president Etala Rajender today said 80th All India Industrial Exhibition 2020 will be started in January next with all Fire-proof precautions and improved security and facilities. He said underground cable was laid in the Exhibition Grounds to check fire accidents. In compliance with the instructions of Chief Electrical Inspector to the Government, 80% overhead power lines were replaced.
Talking to mediapersons after visiting the Exhibition Grounds at Nampally here, the minister said the State government has taken care of the first mishap that occurred last year. He said, “We are installing 80 fire Hydrant pose along with boxes containing two hose reels to be used to fight the fire and also indenting two fire engines and a fire motorbike in the exhibition grounds from the fire department. Mock drills will be undertaken before the start of the exhibition with the cooperation of Fire and Police departments. With fire safety norms, we are allocating the shops to traders and business people. This time the number of shops was reduced to some extent”, Rajender said.
He also said the Exhibition 2020 will be conducted on a grand scale. “We have taken all measures to prevent recurrence of fire accidents that led to the huge loss last year”, he added. (NSS)
