Nutrition Week Celebrated at Government Degree College for Women, Begumpet

The Government Degree College for Women in Begumpet celebrated Nutrition Week, focusing on the theme “Diet for All.” The event, organized by the college’s Nutrition Club, Vittles Club, aimed to raise awareness about nutritional health and promote healthy eating habits among students and the local community.

Headed by T. Annie Sheron ,and co convener Ms. Pravalika Reddy the event featured a variety of engaging activities designed to educate participants on essential health topics. Counselling sessions were conducted by students on pressing health conditions such as obesity, PCOS (Polycystic Ovary Syndrome), diabetes, and thyroid disorders. These sessions provided valuable insights into the importance of a balanced diet and how dietary changes can significantly impact overall health.

In addition to the counselling, the event showcased a vibrant array of food stalls featuring nutritious options. Attendees enjoyed delicious and health-conscious treats, including sprouts salad, lassi , Bhelpuri , and kheer. This initiative encouraged participants to explore healthy alternatives to their everyday meals.
