Hyderabad: Two women and driver of an Ola car suffered simple injuries when cab rammed an iron railing near Pragathi Bhavan here on Thursday morning. With this, the railing was broken and the front portion of the car was badly damaged.
The incident occurred when the cab was proceeding from Begumpet towards Banjara Hills in the early morning. The damaged car was towed away by the Traffic police personnel. Police sources said rash and negligent driving led to the mishap. The ill-fated car was proceeding from Kompally to the LV Prasad Eye Hospital.
Driver Hemanth, who was sleepy failed to notice the railing ahead while taking a diversion and rammed the railing.
As the incident occurred near the Chief Minister’s camp office, police officials rushed to the spot and immediately towed away the damaged car. The Punjagutta police registered a case and sent the injured driver to the Gandhi Hospital. (NSS)
