Heavy rain in Bengaluru

Meanwhile, Bengaluru has already felt the effects of heavy rains over the last two days. The city’s intense rainfall has disrupted life in India’s “Silicon Valley.”

The rain fell heavily on several low-lying areas. Water entered basements and homes, and people were forced to remove their vehicles to avoid water damage.

A 23-year-old woman was electrocuted after making contact with an electric pole in Whitefield. The incident occurred on Monday night. Meanwhile, NDRF teams were dispatched to Bengaluru to rescue residents from inundated areas.

Two NDRF teams have been deployed. Rescue operations are also being conducted by SDRF and Fire services. In addition to tractors, BBPM also uses tractors to evacuate people, said J Senthil Kumar, Assistant Commandant, Bengaluru.
