Osmania University (OU) Registrar Professor G. Naresh Reddy announced on Wednesday that strict legal action will be taken against anyone attempting to encroach upon university property or damage its assets. His statement comes after a section of the university’s compound wall at Habsiguda was recently demolished, an act the university strongly condemned.
Professor Reddy emphasized that such actions would not be tolerated and reassured the public that measures had already been put in place to rebuild the damaged wall, ensuring that the university’s boundaries remain secure. The university’s leadership has made it clear that any attempts to disrupt the university’s premises would be met with stern legal consequences.
In response to the incident, university officials conducted a site inspection of the affected location. During this inspection, they decided to enhance security measures in the surrounding areas, including Tarnaka, Habsiguda, and Ramanthapur, to prevent future incidents. The security department has been tasked with increasing patrolling in these areas, monitoring any suspicious activities, and keeping a close watch on developments involving private individuals near the university campus.
