Hyderabad: Some 40 outsourcing contract employees staged a dharna at Malakpet Area hospital as salaries were not being paid to them for the past three months. The AITUC workers union led the agitation.
The employees of Agile group were facing severe problems as they were not being paid salaries for the past three months. The protesting employees demanded that the State government increase their salaries and pay them directly. They also condemned an attack by a patient’s relatives on a contract employee and no official of the hospital took action. They sought protection for them and also to take legal action against the accused. (NSS)
