Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi has filed a complaint against a BJYM leader for allegedly making abusive remarks about him.
According to the MP’s complaint, Sai Ram Yadav made abusive remarks against him during the Independence Day celebration at Begum Bazaar on Monday. As well as that, he threatened the MP.
Based on the suo moto case registered by the Afzalgunj police, Yadav erected a stage in a public place without prior police permission on August 15. Yadav called the Hyderabad MP Owaisi a “traitor” and threatened to “step on his chest” and make him say “Bharat mata ki jai.”
An investigation is being conducted by the Afzalgunj police.

Owaisi criticizes PM Modi for releasing Bilkis Bano rape convicts
Owaisi spoke against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party in Gujarat for releasing 11 people convicted in the Bilkis Bano case under its remission policy.
We condemn this, he said to the media at the party’s headquarters in Darussalam. The country is watching to see how the BJP only talks about women’s empowerment and respect for women. When it comes to Muslim women, however, they are forgotten, he said.
Bilkis Bano’s family was shocked by the release of 11 life sentence convicts in the case of her gang rape and kin murder.
Owaisi questioned the PM on whether the release of these convicts is an example of women’s empowerment, a topic on which the latter touched. He also accused the BJP of being biased, claiming that the party makes decisions that benefit only one community.
Owaisi stated that the Supreme Court had directed the State Government to decide applications for release on the basis of merit. He did, however, point out that the Supreme Court had not ordered their release.
