Parents and Guardians Seek Support from Haj Pilgrims for Release of Foreign Scholarships in Hyderabad

After attempting to seek aid from the government and elected authorities, parents and guardians of kids in Hyderabad awaiting foreign scholarships have turned to haj pilgrims for prayers. They held banners at the Haj House, imploring pilgrims to pray for the resolution of their issues, particularly the release of overseas scholarships.

The pupils and their parents have previously expressed their dissatisfaction with the Minority Welfare Department’s delay in releasing scholarships to the government and elected officials. The Leader of the Legislative Assembly, Akbaruddin Owaisi, has also highlighted this matter in the House. Despite these efforts, the government has not provided the monies.

Earlier parental objections had not resulted in the desired goal. Students and guardians hoisted banners at the Haj House, appealing to pilgrims who promised them of their prayers for a resolution. The parents who were demonstrating emphasised the need of telling the truth about the issues that the Muslim community faces rather than simply supporting the administration through banners.

The next day, M.B. Shafiullah IFS, Director of the Minority Welfare Department, is due to go for Haj. Students seeking scholarships asked him to remember them in his prayers, as they continue to suffer as a result of government inefficiency and indifference.

The protesting parents and guardians rapidly became the focus of both pilgrims and officials at the Haj House. Officials and pilgrims showed their support for their cause and inquired about the specifics of their difficulties. The event provided a forum for students and their families to express their concerns and seek support from those in attendance.

The Haj House parents and guardians’ appeal seeks to generate awareness and support for the release of foreign scholarships. It emphasises the importance of rapid action by the Minority Welfare Department and the government to address the students’ concerns.
