Amaravati: Tollywood actor-turned-politician K Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party, which was making its political debut this year, released its fourth list of candidates for the Lok Sabha and Assembly polls in Andhra Pradesh.
After a thorough discussion on the selection of candidates for Lok Sabha and Assembly constituencies this afternoon, Pawan Kalyan announced that former joint director V V Laxminarayana, who joined the Jana Sena Party recently, as his party candidate from the Visakhapatnam Lok Sabha constituency. He also declared nominees for eight Assembly constituencies. They are: Pasupuleti Usha Kiran for Visakha North Assembly seat, Gampala Giridhar for Visakha South, Kona Tata Rao for Visakha East, Panchakarla Sandeep for Bhimli Assembly seat, Shettibathula Rajababu from Amalapuram, Thummala Ramaswamy alias Babu from Peddapuram, Chirri Balaraju from Polavaram and TC Varun from Anantapuram.
Earlier, Pawan Kalyan announced third list including 13 names for the Assembly seats, and a solitary candidate for the Lok Sabha polls. LS candidate for Ongole is Bellamkonda Saibabu.
Assembly candidates are: Tekkali:Kanithi Kiran Kumar, Palakollu: Gunnam Nagababu, Guntur East: Shaik Jiya Ur Rahman, Repalle: Kamatham Sambasivarao,Chilakaluripet: Miriyala Ratnakumari, Macherla: K Ramadevi, Bapatla: Pulugu Madhusudhan Reddy, Ongole: Shaik Riyaz, Markapuram: Immadi Kasinath, Giddaluru:Bairaboyina Chandrasekhar Yadav, Proddutur: Inza Sonasekhar Reddy, Nellore Urban: Kethamreddy Vinod Reddy, Maidukuru: Panditi Malhotra and Kadiri: Saadagala Ravi Kumar (Vadde Raviraju).
Seeking to emerge as a potent third force in the State, the Jana Sena has teamed up with the Bahujan Samaj party, the CPI and the CPI-M for the April 11 polls to Lok Sabha and the Andhra Pradesh Assembly. The Jana Sena will contest 140 out of 175 Assembly and 18 out of 25 Lok Sabha seats. BSP has been given three Lok Sabha and 21 Assembly seats, CPI and CPI-M two Lok Sabha and seven Assembly seats each, as part of the agreement. (NSS)
