“People leaving country as story of ‘Thriving India’ has lost the spirit,” Prof.Apoorvanand

Recalling one of his fellow friend’s figuring out five years ago that the story of ‘thriving India’ has lost the spirit when it comes to economic prosperity of the country as was seen alive a decade back, Prof.Apoorvanand, a renowned academician said, “There may be several reasons behind growing tendency of Indian citizens renouncing the nationality of their motherland as was recently reported.”

“A significant number of citizens, especially those who are well-off and well educated, have either given-up their nationality long back or are about to renounce the same as they find a suitable contact out there overseas. The economic prosperity and stimulation that India has enjoyed in the past, has no longer exists in the eyes of the world. As a result, most of the citizens in the country are found least enthusiastic in planning their future by staying in the country,” he stated.

Prof.Apoorvanand, a Hindi professor in Faculty of Arts section at University of Delhi was debating over the recently published report about the growing tendency of Indians renouncing their nationality during a program over a news channel on Thursday.

People, he said, can estimate by their own the extent of liberty left back in the field of research and higher education in the country. Besides, pore over the state of peace and stability to prosper economically in the society. Political bigwigs, who are investing hugely in propelling the political establishment here, are fully acquainted with the fact that their future will no longer be stable enough in the country as it is consistently heading towards unrest.

“As I said earlier, there are several reasons behind people especially those who can afford it are, at different levels, leaving the country since there is no spirit still alive in the story of ‘economically prospering India,” contended Apoorvanand.

While raising a question over the number of countries providing visa on Arrival facility on India Passport, he said, during the last eight years, the integrity of the Indian passport dropped significantly, more precisely, at 85th position among all the countries. This shows how important the Indians remain for the world. This is the question especially for the academicians, the wealthiest and to all those who have dream big in their lives.

If the whole higher education sector left with a job to impart only nationalism, then what would the Scientists, psychologist and a philosopher do by staying back in the country? We make fun of them, cast slurs and even encourage violence against them. Then what do they do by staying here? It is better for them to leave the country to find a safe abode in foreign countries and they are in myriad numbers,” bemoaned Apoorvanand.

Expressing a concern that a significant number of passionate youngsters are neither finding a better present nor a future in the country, Prof.Apoorvanand said, “At a time when the government is trying to promote nationalism and introducing laws like CAA and NRC citing it will pave way for the persecuted Hindus of neighbouring countries to apply for Indian citizenship, your own people are not at all interested in keeping their citizenship continue as they feel that the life in India is a messy affair and leaving the country is the better way out. A big number of people having appropriate resources are leaving the country while others are still struggling to find a way out.”
