Pista House set to launch Hyderabad’s first flight restaurant in December

The popular Hyderabad eatery Pista House will launch the city’s first flight restaurant in December. It will be officially launched in Shamirpet.

The eatery has purchased Air India’s first Airbus-320 to set up the flight restaurant in the city. Currently, efforts are being made to transform the spot of the restaurant in such a manner that it resembles the airport.

According to the proposal, there will be a runway, security check, boarding pass-style tickets, and so on. The plane will have 150 seats.

Challenges faced by Pista House

Pista House encountered difficulties transporting the plane from Kochi to Hyderabad after purchasing it.

It became stuck on the way in the Andhra Pradesh district of Bapatla. The plane was pulled out of the underpass with the assistance of Medarmetla police.

It was later rerouted through the Korisapadu underpass.

Pista House

Pista House began its restaurant career in 1997 when it opened its first hotel in Shalibanda. It currently has 32 branches in the city.

Mohd Abdul Majeed, an enterprising businessman, established the restaurant chain, which plans to open food courts in Dubai, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore.

It also exports bakeries, confectioneries, and haleem to North America, the Gulf, South East Asia, and Europe, etc.

Pista House will now try something new in Hyderabad by opening a flight restaurant.

Though it is the first flight restaurant in Hyderabad, it is not unique for people from other parts of the country because similar restaurants can be found in other cities.

It can be found in Patna’s Hajipur, Haryana’s Gurgaon, and Gujarat’s Vadodara, etc.

The most recent one opened last year on the Tarsali bypass in Vadodara city. It has a seating capacity of 102 people.

Aside from that, the waiters and servers at the flight restaurant in Vadodara are dressed as air hostesses and stewards. A similar model is expected to be followed at Pista House’s flight restaurant in Hyderabad.
