In the latest update, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be launching two innovative customer-centric initiatives by the Reserve Bank Of India on Friday via video conferencing. It includes the RBI Retail Direct Scheme and Reserve Bank-Integrated Ombudsman Scheme.
PM Modi To Launch Single Point Of Reference For Customers
The RBI Retail Direct Scheme is aimed at enhancing access to the authorities securities market for retail investors. It gives them a brand new avenue for immediately investing in securities issued by the Government of India and the State Governments. Investors may be able to without problems open and hold their authorities securities account online with the RBI, freed from cost.

The Reserve Bank-Integrated Ombudsman Scheme ambitions to further enhance the grievance redress mechanism for resolving purchaser court cases towards entities regulated by using RBI. The imperative subject of the scheme is based on ‘One Nation-One Ombudsman’ with one portal, one electronic mail and one address for the customers to resort their lawsuits.
There might be a single point of reference for customers to document their complaints, put up the files, track status and offer comments. A multi-lingual toll-free wide variety will offer all applicable statistics on grievance redress and help for submitting complaints.
The Union Finance Minister and RBI Governor will attend the event as well.
RBI To Launch Hackathon 2021
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) conducts its first worldwide hackathon to make digital payments greater at ease and handy for consumers. Announcing this hackathon, RBI stated that its subject has been to make digital payments more agile. The registration for this hackathon named ‘Harbinger 2021’ will start from 15th November.
The reserve bank stated that the hackathon members could be asked to perceive the problems associated with making virtual payments more secure and reachable to the underprivileged. They could be requested to present answers for simplifying and improving the digital experience.
