Ponnam Asks People to Teach a Lesson to TRS in Local Body Elections

Hyderabad: TPCC working president Ponnam Prabhakar on Sunday called upon the  people  to vote for congress party candidates in the ongoing rural local body elections and ensure their victory, and thus  teach a befitting lesson to the ruling TRS. He alleged that the  TRS party had diluted all the local bodies and  added that it was a great opportunity for the people of the state to defeat the ruling party.

In a statement, he urged the people to vote for the party candidates in large numbers and ensure their victory. He promised to release funds directly to the villages and strengthen them. Targeting the  CM,  KCR he alleged that the state was  witnessing a dictator’s rule. He said that  Telangana state which was formed after sacrifices of hundreds of people had now become a puppet in the hands of a single family. He said that there was a need to teach a lesson to the state government which has also ruined the lives of 10 lakh intermediate students. He alleged that the failure of  KCR to declare the results in a foolproof manner led to the death of 26 intermediate students, and  wondered if the people of the state would still vote for such a  CM.

He also asked if the people were ready to vote for the CM who had demolished the statue of BR Ambedkar on his birth anniversary. Talking about reduction of BC reservations in the local body elections Prabhakar asked the BC community voters to teach a lesson to  the CM. He also said that the days of TRS leaders who are insulting poor people of the state were numbered. He said that the governance  came to a standstill in villages as the sarpanches did not have cheque power to serve their villages.(NSS)
